Companies House, like a lot of other organisations, are accepting documents that are signed electronically using e-signatures. Here are the instructions on how to easily set that up:

  1. Go to the following URL: https://www.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/online/request-signature.html
  2. Click on the blue button that says Select a file
  3. Sign in with an existing Adobe account, or set up a new one by clicking Create a new account
  4. In the Signers box, type in the name of the email addresses for the people you want to sign the document and then press Specify where to sign
  5. On the next page, click on the area of the page where you want to place a signature box, and then change it to a signature field using the small icons above the signiture box.
  6. If you require a signiture from more than one person, you can double-click on a signiture field to change which person should sign for each location.
  7. When you have finished you can then send the document to the recipients by pressing Send. The document will be send to the first person to sign, and then to any others after than if you have more than one. You will then be emailed the final PDF when everyone has finished.

Your final PDF can then be uploaded to places like Companies House.
